DESCRIPTION:Martin Keller will do a reading and Q&A with participants at Eat My Words Bookstore\, 214 13th Ave NE\, Saturday\, Aug. 21\, 2 pm\, with interlocutor TD Mischke\, former writer\, radio broadcaster and current podcaster who hosts the Mischke Roadshow. Keller will read from his book\, “The Space Pen Club: Close Encounters of the 5th Kind\, UFO Disclosure\, Consciousness & Other Mind Zoomers.” The title stems from the writer’s camaraderie with college classmates that comprised The Space Pen Club\, a mostly tie-dyed collection of self-made Merry Pranksters who capriciously turned the Fischer Pen company’s advanced line of Space Pens (“the first pen to write in space!”) into a symbolic icon\, representing self-exploration\, cosmic consciousness and communication\, transcendence (and the occasional quest for beer\, girls\, tuneage and controlled substances). Keller is a publicist with Media Savant Communications\, which frequently represents clients in Northeast. \n
