DESCRIPTION:“The 2020 Census will allocate a massive amount of funding and resources to the Northeast Minneapolis community — it is crucial that everyone is represented.” That’s the message from the CarryOn Homes team and Northeast Artist Witt Siasoco. They have created an art installation and will hold a series of artmaking drop-in activities at the corner of Lowry and Central avenues NE to highlight the importance of immigrant communities’ participation in the Census. \nParticipants can create a flag that will be added to a community art installation. COVID safe distancing applies and masks provided. \nDates and times: Saturdays\, Sept. 5\, 12\, 19\, 26\, & Oct. 3\, 10am–1pm and Tuesdays\, Sept. 8\, 15\, 22\, & 29\, 4-6 pm.
