SUMMARY:Johnson Street reconstruction open house
DESCRIPTION:The City of Minneapolis will have an open house about Johnson Street NE reconstruction—from 18th to Lowry Avenues NE—Saturday\, Sept. 21\, 10 am-1 pm\, in the Marino’s Deli parking lot\, 1946 Johnson St. NE. Open house guests are asked to park 1-2 blocks away to maintain parking access for deli customers. In the event of rain\, the open house will be at the same time\, but located inside at Windom Northeast Recreation Center\, 2251 Hayes St. NE. \nProperty owners adjacent to the reconstruction will be assessed. Additional details about the assessment for this project will become available after further design of the project\, including a public hearing through the Transportation and Public Works Committee of the Minneapolis City Council. \nConstruction is anticipated to begin in 2021. Residents\, businesses\, and visitors may experience traffic detours\, noise\, vibration\, and dust in work areas. In addition\, temporary impacts such as lane restrictions\, intersection reductions\, parking restrictions\, and revised pedestrian and transit routes may occur.
