DESCRIPTION:The Sheridan Neighborhood Organization (SNO) is starting a long-term partnership with the Friends of the Mississippi River to help maintain the river banks along the Mississippi at Sheridan Memorial Park. Learn about invasive species\, how to identify them\, how to remove them effectively. Eventually\, the group will plant native species to revitalize the landscape. Meet at the Sheridan Veterans Memorial Thursday\, Sept. 1\, 6 pm where the FMR will educate neighbors on the project and then invasive plant removal will start. Gloves\, water and tools will be provided. \n
