Help At Your Door, a non-profit agency serving seniors and individuals with disabilities across the seven-county Twin Cities metropolitan area, serves many seniors living in Northeast, Columbia Heights and St. Anthony. One of the locations for their grocery shopping activities takes place in St. Anthony, where they draw a large number of volunteers from there and the surrounding communities. Volunteer Driver Training: Wednesday, Jan. 17, 1-2:30 pm, and Thursday, Feb. 15, 1-2:30 pm. They are in need of volunteer drivers. Help provide the keys to independence by transporting seniors to appointments or errands using your car.
Volunteer Order Taker Training: Friday, Feb. 3, 1-2:30 pm, and Tuesday, Feb. 21, 6-7:30 pm. Help seniors stay at home by taking grocery orders online from the comfort of your home. Flexible days/times for calls. Learn more at storetodoor.org/volunteer. Call 651-642-1892 to RSVP.
