DESCRIPTION:In 1915\, 118 small independent grocers served Northeast Minneapolis. Today\, only ghostly storefronts remain. On this tour of storefronts in the Windom Park neighborhood\, you’ll discover forgotten histories of close-knit families\, lutefisk barrels\, crime sprees and tarantulas. The route is approximately 1.2 miles in length and goes over some slightly hilly terrain. Plan to park on side streets as there is construction on Lowry.
