SUMMARY:Film Festival at Casket Cinema
DESCRIPTION:On Thursday\, Feb. 7\, the 56th Annual Ann Arbor Film Festival tour will stop at Casket Cinema\, in the studio of Mark Wojahn\, Northwestern Casket Building\, 681 17th Ave. NE\, #145. Doors at 7:30 pm\, films at 8 pm. The screening will include 75 minutes of experimental and animated works. \nSpecial guests for this Casket will be Minnesota filmmakers Coleman Miller\, John Akre\, and Beth Peloff. They will each screen some of their own short films\, comment on the tour\, and talk with the audience after the program. \nEstablished in 1963\, the film festival is the oldest avant garde and experimental film festival in North America. The six-day festival presents 40 programs with more than 200 artist films from more than 20 countries. Donations of $5-$20 will go to pay the filmmakers.
