SUMMARY:Fifth Annual Northeast Band Festival
DESCRIPTION:The 5th Annual Northeast Band Festival will be Thursday\, March 14\, at 6 pm\, at Edison High School Auditorium\, 700 22nd Ave. NE. Band students from Northeast-based Minneapolis Public Schools will perform two pieces each to display their muscial proficiency. To demonstrate that music is a life-long activity\, bands from Waite Park\, Pillsbury\, Sheridan\, Marcy-Holmes and Edison will join with the Northeast Community Band in a massed band finale. To celebrate the festival’s fifth year\, the bands will play a piece of music written by local artist and composer\, Adam Meckler. Admission is free.
