SUMMARY:East Side Old Timers reunion
DESCRIPTION:The East Side Old Timers 67th Annual Reunion will be held Thursday\, Sept. 22\, 6:30 pm at Holy Cross-Kolbe Center 1620 4th St. NE. Food and refreshments will be served\, admission is $5. The Old Timers are inducting Rick Jaede\, Jay Doetkott\, Rick Eskola\, and Jeff Moritko into the East Side Hall of Fame. Dawn Ginnaty and Claudia Stephens\, two female athletes who were able to compete in team sports when Title IX was enacted\, will also be inducted. Hall of Fame inductees are selected for their achievement in sports as a resident of the East Side. The Old Timers will also recognize the 50-year anniversary of Title IX of the Education Amendment of 1972. Hall of Fame sponsor is Tony Hofstede. \nThe Old Timers thank the many retail businesses and individuals that donated prizes over their 67 years for their raffle. Over the years $185\,000 raised by the raffles supports youth sport teams in the Northeast and Southeast neighborhoods. \nThe East Side Old Timers are seeking future Hall of Fame inductees (men and women). The person must have been a resident of the East Side and achieved excellence in a sport and is 55 years or older. Recommend a worthy candidate on the East Side Old-Timers Facebook page. \n
