DESCRIPTION:Sponsored by the Great River Coalition\, the National Park Service and Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board\, the 9th annual Earth Day 5K Bee Run/Walk is back at Boom Island Park\, 724 Sibley St. NE\, Saturday\, April 20. Purpose: Protect pollinators and their habitat. 8:30 am\, kids’ run starts; 9 am\, fun run starts; 9:30 am\, river cleanup starts (bags & gloves will be provided). Family-friendly\, dogs welcome\, music and booths. Costumes are welcome; prizes for the best. Runners register at https://register.chronotrack.com/r/75196. Registration for the 5K is $40 pre-race; $45 race day. No charge for kids’ run or river cleanup volunteer. \n
