SUMMARY:Comments on MPCA Xcel Riverside permit wanted
DESCRIPTION:The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency is seeking comments\, through Feb. 27\, on plans to reissue a permit for Xcel Energy’s Riverside generating plant\, at 3100 Marshall St. NE. \nXcel’s plant is in an area that meets EPA-defined criteria for an environmental justice area because more than 40% of people who live there are part of a low-income household. The MPCA is currently in the process of reissuing Riverside’s air quality permit.
