DESCRIPTION:Tai Ji Quan: Moving For Better Balance: Mondays and Thursdays\, Sept. 23-Dec. 16\, 10-11 am. Tai Ji reduces risk of falls by improving balance\, muscle strength\, flexibility\, and mobility through mindful movements in a slow\, flowing motion. The class meets twice a week on Monday and Thursday mornings for 12-weeks. East Side Neighborhood Services\, 1700 2nd St. NE. \nNE Day Spot Friend: Fridays throughout the year\, be the reason why someone looks forward to Fridays. NE Day Spot volunteers make Fridays more meaningful for people with memory loss and their care partners. Safe and engaging respite is vital for caregivers and the people they care for. Training for this position is provided with a focus on working with people experiencing memory loss. Shifts are from 9 am-12 pm and 12 pm-3 pm on Fridays. Don’t hesitate to be the special person that makes a tremendous difference in the lives of people with memory loss and their caregivers.
