SUMMARY:City of Columbia Heights Flea Market
DESCRIPTION:As part of the City of Columbia Heights’ annual Citywide Garage Sale\, the city will host a flea market Saturday\, June 6\, 11 am-2 pm at the Hylander Center\, 1400 49th Ave. NE. Registration is limited and will take place May 1-31. A special section of flea market will be the Kids’ Market for youth vendors who want to run their own sales table for the day. Participants will bring their own items to sell and are responsible for pricing items in advance. Each youth vendor will manage their own sales and should bring cash to make change. Registration includes one table and one chair – please plan displays accordingly. All unsold items must be taken home at the end of the event. This experience encourages kids to practice money management\, build confidence in a real marketplace setting and learn the value of underconsumption and re-homing items. Parents/guardians must be in attendance; however\, young vendors are  encouraged to take the lead in customer interactions and transactions. There is no fee to register.
