DESCRIPTION:Chorus Polaris presents its first concert with David Hood as executive director on Saturday\, Feb. 18\, 7:30 pm at First Lutheran Church\, 1555 40th Ave. NE. In addition to works by Giovanni Gabrielli (“In Ecclesiis”) and John Rutter (“Requiem”)\, Chorus Polaris will perform the world premiere of “Song of Nature” by Minnesota composer David Evan Thomas. The concert will be repeated on Sunday\, Feb. 19\, 3 pm at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Edina. Tickets for both performances $10 in advance (adults and seniors) or $15 at the door\, available through the Chorus Polaris website (www.choruspolaris.org/tickets). Concertgoers under 21 years of age are admitted free. Chorus Polaris is an auditioned\, adult community choir based in Columbia Heights comprised of professional\, semiprofessional and talented amateur singers. \n
