DESCRIPTION:The Columbia Heights High School (CHHS) Theater Department presents “Almost\, Maine” by John Cariani. Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. Nov. 14-16 at Highland Elementary\, 1500 49th Avenue NE\, Columbia Heights. \n“Almost\, Maine” takes place on a cold winter night\, in a town that’s so far north\, it’s almost not in the United States—it’s almost in Canada…and it almost doesn’t exist. While the northern lights hover in the sky above\, the residents of Almost find themselves falling in and out of love in the strangest ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. Love is lost\, found and confounded. And for the people of Almost\, Maine\, life will never be the same. Directed by Tom Conry\, 18 CHHS student actors bring these kooky characters to life in an awe-inspiring ensemble performance. \nTickets cost $4 for students and senior citizens\, $6 for adults and will available to purchase prior to each performance. \nContact the Activities & Athletics Department at 763-528-4511. \n
