SUMMARY:Arts District Speakeasy
DESCRIPTION:The Northeast Minneapolis Arts District’s annual Speakeasy is Friday\, Nov. 8\, 5-10 pm\, Saturday\, Nov. 9\, noon-8 pm and Sunday\, Nov. 10\, noon-5 pm\, coinciding with the Fall Open Studios – Open Casket event. It will be in the lower level of the Casket Arts Building\, mirroring the often-hidden secret hideaways used for prohibition-era alcohol consumption. Beer and Bloodies will be served from noon to 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday. The evening hours (5-10 pm Friday & 5-8 pm Saturday) will feature prohibition-era-inspired cocktails with high-quality spirits donated by lead sponsor\, 45th Parallel Distillery. NA Beer and non-alcoholic “Prohibition Punch” will also be available. Proceeds further the Arts District’s mission to sustain and promote Northeast’s fabulous\, award-winning arts district. Sponsors\, in addition to 45th Parallel\, are Stray Dog\, Central Avenue Liquors\, Nan’s Naughty and Nice and the Casket Arts Building\, which is hosting the Speakeasy. \n
