SUMMARY:ART365 kicks off Nov. 1
DESCRIPTION:Organized by Northeast Minneapolis Arts District volunteers\, ART365 invites the public to visit one featured working artist’s studio in the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District each day of the year\, noon-5 pm. It promises more individual attention than the large open studio events\, and invites artists to visit each other. \nThe initiative will launch Friday\, Nov. 1\, at Mercury Mosaics\, in the Thorpe complex\, 1620 Central Ave. NE\, suite 125\, at noon\, with a ribbon cutting\, tours of the tile-making operation\, and a mosaic demonstration. \nART365 participants in the first part of November include: California Building and Casket Arts Buildings\, Saturday and Sunday\, Nov. 2 and 3\, along with many other buildings open for their first weekend in November events; Patty Canney\, painter\, Monday\, Nov. 4; Aldo Moroni\, sculptor\, Friday\, Nov. 8; and Justin Hossle\, Saturday\, Nov. 9\, with classes in making cutting boards from various woods. \nOther dates will be filled soon.
