SUMMARY:6th Annual Columbia Heights Fire and Ice Plunge
DESCRIPTION:Southern Anoka Community Assistance (SACA) Food Shelf and Thrift Store announces the 6th Annual Columbia Heights Fire and Ice Plunge\, Saturday\, Jan. 25\, noon-3 pm at Silver Lake Beach in Columbia Heights\, 4305 NE Stinson Blvd. Free admission\, family friendly\, heated tents\, games\, prizes and fun. The Columbia Heights Fire and Ice Plunge is a 100% volunteer cooperative effort led by: SACA Food Shelf and Thrift Store\, Columbia Heights Lions\, Columbia Heights Athletic Boosters\, and the Columbia Heights Fire Department. \nThe organizations are bonded by a strong desire to create real action in the community to help those in need/neighbors. Fundraising efforts provide direct donations to SACA\, which uses a proven and effective system for delivering assistance to the immediate neighborhood. Each dollar donated equates at least eight pounds of food. Additional proceeds from purchases at the event go to support equipment purchases for the Columbia Heights Fire Department and youth sports activities in the community. Minimum jump donations are $40/adult and $20/youth (under 18). \n
