March 4 - March 5
Everyone who wants to learn, discuss, and brainstorm about government data and technology is invited to Geo:Code 2017, a series of open data workshops and conversations to connect people who live, work, and govern in Hennepin County, Saturday & Sunday, Mar. 4-5, at Central Library, 300 Nicollet Mall.
The event, presented by Hennepin County and Open Twin Cities, will include two tracks: coding space and a county camp. County camp will include presentations and conversations about open data, geography, and civic engagement. Code space will include code-a-thon teams that will build an app or website that uses open data.
Participants can join either or both tracks and can switch during the weekend. The goal is to create a more accessible government by working with residents and fans of Hennepin County. The event is free. Breakfast and lunch will be served. To register, for more information, to submit an idea, or to review brainstorming questions, visit www.hennepin.us/geocode.
